Sunday, October 19 is our annual membership meeting and club BBQ: 12-4 at our hangar at the Old Tees. Join us for hangar talk, a BBQ, and the annual membership meeting!

Congratulations to our club mechanic, Mark Baird, who today PASSED is Inspector Authorization exam, meaning that Mark is now an A&P with his IA! Way to go Mark!

We couldn’t have asked for better weather or company! Our second annual Lou Fields Memorial BBQ was a success with great hangar talk and great food – on our own, new club dinnerware. There was plenty of hamburgers, salads, chili, beer, and dessert to go around and later we raised our glasses in a toast to Lou! Here are some photos from the prep and BBQ.
Our Fourth of July Alameda Parade entry was a success!
Special thanks go to (non-member but Friend of the Club) Wayne Cook, who provided the model aircraft and the plywood platform it was mounted on. Decorators included Wayne, Club Mechanic Mark Baird, Liz Sommers, Ari Arshi, and Will Golden. Participants in the parade were Stan Klezmer (who drove), Liz Sommers and Peter DiGennaro (who walked/ran the 3.3 mile route, distributing pilot wings and Club decals) and Will Golden (aka Uncle Sam).
Congratulations to member Erik Klavon who is now a COMMERCIAL Pilot, Single Engine Land! Way to go Erik!
