June Plane Wash & BBQ

On Sunday, June 2nd, our club will be washing one (or more) of our aircraft. We’re hoping to get the first plane to the wash rack by 9:30am. There will be plenty of opportunities for volunteers — wing washers, belly cleaners, polishing-compound scrubbers and leading edge waxers — something for everyone!

The plane wash will be followed by a BBQ at our hangar.

For information please contact our membership officer.

Congratulations to Susan Bell

Congratulations to Susan Bell, who PASSED her Private Pilot checkride November 29th!

Neatly wedged in between two potent Pacific Storms, Susan and I flew up to Calaveras County Airport early today for her Private Pilot Checkride with Designated Pilot Examiner Rob Davids. Outcome…Positive! Susan was a real trouper and successfully completed her checkride in wind gusting from 17 to 22 knots on the ground, and probably well over 30 knots aloft.

Congratulations Susan! Alameda Aero Club’s newest Private Pilot!
